Not to rub it in, but my husband recognizes he is a pretty lucky dude to have me as his wife. I’m classy, adorable, have a great sense of humor, and I’m relatively smart about most topics.

And it turns out, because of his wonderful taste in a well-educated, smart and witty woman, he gets to live longer.

Yep. When he is 90-years-old and he is sick and tired of my bullshit about picking up after himself and my neurotic behavior around essentially every component of his life sends him over the edge, he’ll have me to thank.

A recent Swedish study has found that men who live longer are typically married to smart women. This is due to the fact that we actually pay attention to things that matter — like a healthy lifestyle — instead of ESPN.

Swedish scientists have discovered that long life and good health have nothing to do with a man’s education and everything to do with his wife’s. Men married to smart women live longer… It’s simply our skill at processing advice about healthy lifestyles, and passing it on. All it boils down to is that “educated” married women have long since banned their men from eating pork pies at every other meal.

You’re welcome, love. When I changed your diet from only meat and potatoes to a love of veggies and a variety of healthy food, I did you a favor. And you get to thank me for the next 72 years. I prefer diamonds, by the way.

BBC News and fashion blog stylelist.com are reporting that up-and-coming designer Mark Fast used size 8-14 models in his Spring 2010 show at London Fashion Week! Personally, I am a bigger fan of the more marketable (and less avant garde) couture, but kudos to Mark all the same.  

Apparently, his decision upset the runway shows stylist and casting director so much that they quit. But looking at the models (check out the picture from the BBC News article who is a size 12), I say this is awesome. I’m sick and tired of finding outfits on the rack that look great as a size 2 on the hanger, but by the time you get up to the size 8, it looks like a damn moomoo – or worse — a tight leather glove with your fat the equivalent of your five fingers sticking out. Gross image, right?

Well done, sir, well done.

College blew. Mainly because I went from 125 lbs to 150 lbs back down to 135 lbs in only three years. Ick.

Well, MTV wants to help prevent the “freshman 15″ by starting a new reality show appropriately titled “Frehsman 15.”

Despite the fact that MTV is obviously trying to making money of fat college girls (hopefully turning them into awesome Spring Break 2010 dancers), the website actually has some generic helpful information I would love to share with you. With insight like the following, I never would have gained 25 lbs in a year (there is slight sarcasm in this):

• exercise
• avoid eating unhealthy cafeteria food
• avoid drinking excessive amounts of alcohol
• avoid eating food late at night
• don’t keep unhealthy snacks in the dorm room
