Run Fatroll Girls Run!
As mentioned last week, the @fatroll girls ran in the Silicon Labs Austin Marathon Relay this Sunday, September 27th. We made up a team of five with the addition of the lovely Sarah, Mere’s sister, and ran the following:
- 12k leg- Kristine
- 10k leg- Jenni
- 10k leg- Sarah
- 5k leg- Ashley
- 5k leg- Meredith
It was definitely tough because even at the end of September it is 90+ degrees in Austin, TX. While we didn’t train for the race and were all a bit nervous, we powered through and finished the race in under 4 hours and 30 minutes. Special kudos goes out to Mere who ran in her first race and ran it well!
I would also like to celebrate that I was able to finish my 5k leg in the best time I’ve ever run! It sure does help when you’re 26 lbs lighter!!!
