Le Garage Sale
It’s that time of year again! Le Garage Sale! It’s where the local boutiques in town pawn off their leftover inventory for cheap. (And Super Cheap when you go the afternoon of the last day)
I’ve had next Saturday and Sunday marked on my calendar for the past six months. And even though I never seem to get as much as I’m hoping for, there is something about going with friends, pushing fellow women out-of-the-way, to set sights on the perfect $400 dress that is marked down to $60. (True story… and there is no way I would have paid full price for it. Totally not a $400 dress. $60, definitely!)
But for those of you not as fashion forward, this is also a great opportunity to check out the baby and children boutiques. Looking for an Easter dress — they’ll have it. Looking for the perfect baby shower gift — your money will go far here! Wishing you had a kid and buying something “just in case” (cough, cough… me), might as well 
Like previous years, the bazaar is held at the Palmer Events Center (near Auditorium Shores) from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, and Sunday, January 31. Admission is $10 each day, or $15 for both. You can park for $7 at the center, or pull a @fatroll win and park at One Texas Center at S. First and Barton Springs for free… and walk for 10 minutes.
And for those of you in the Bay Area, the first Le Garage Sale will be held there in August! Mark your calendar now!
